| Comments: | First flight of the year, and my best UK flight in a dozen years! After a few false starts I left the hill lower than was comfortable, but I could see Tim climbing at Chirk Castle. Good climb to base, but Tim glided off while I was still climbing, so I was destined to fly alone. Got low enough to be looking seriously for landing options 3 times, but grovelled back up the first time, and hoofed up the next two. Opted to ignore climbs for the last 15k or more, as I had to get back as the long-suffering Annemarie was due to go out at 7:30.A most enjoyable day out ! |
