| Comments: | I took off just after the sun came out at Penny, and was soon being lifted up above the North end of the ridge. Didn't want to be low over the ridge, so headed to wind and got a better lift up. Left hill with Stu visible beneath, by the time we were past the aerial he had overtaken me. Stu found a good lift and I headed over when I heard him bellowing. After that, a series of weak climbs took us over the A55 and over St. Asaph. Then, across wind to Abergele, where after I had joined Stu's thermal, he went West for another. It got better as he sank, but the sea was worrying me, and I put full bar on to try and reach an into-wind ridge. Didn't get there and landed just outside Llandulas. Nice views either way down the coast. Thanks for sacrificing yourself Stu and to Jerry for nice retrieve! |
