| Comments: | First flight from Pennycloddiau East. Took off about 3.45pm. Wind was well off to the south but just about soarable. Decided I would try to fly home if I could get up high enough. Drifted over the back with the first thermal-topped out at just over 2300ft ASL where I hit the inversion, very poor visibility so shot off down wind towards home and found some more lift on the way. First xc where I have decided not to go as far as possible but it's not everyday you can land 30feet from your back garden!! Landed very happy with my first flight from the nearest site. Got back to my car on my bike-also a first- quickest retrieve ever at 25 mins! |
