| Comments: | Dave made the sacrifice of leaving the hill early, flying in strong conditions, leading the way. Conditions became better towards the end of the afternoon, so I took off into good lift and soon joined under a gaggle much higher. Over the back it got rough & disorganised, though didn't seem to sinky. Flew across the vale in reasonably buoyant air until I got under another pair of gliders much higher than me. Lift lower down was quite weak, but persisted with it, expecting good thermals once on sunny ground past Denbigh, but nothing materialised. Thanks to Dave for the retrieve. |
