| Comments: | One good thermal launched from the copse and was already looking promising at ridge height. Jack and I joined Dave with Matt and Keith joining below. For 15 minutes it was a well organised affair but became harder to locate a core from around 3500 ft amsl. I continued in occasional lift to 4250 ft over Bryn Common, but went on a glide with my fingers crossed that I d clear Hope Mountain (1088 ft) and at least reach Hope (home). Caergwrle and Llay Ind estate gave a small boost to cross the A483 and Gresford to a stand-up landing in a cow pasture then I stepped back straight into a fresh pat. And they still let me on the bus! Thanks to the Welsh Assembly for my bus pass which got me back to Llandegla for nowt. |
