| Comments: | Having missed all the best conditions earlier when about 8 visitors went XC, I was getting desperate for a break. About 5pm with a lightish NNE the west woods were working. Took one good thermal to cloudbase at 3600ft ato but had to leave the cloud (and the lift). Searching under adjacent clouds produced nothing. A small thermal popped off a hayfield being worked by a tractor to lift me just over Llansilin village. Hitched 2 cars to get back to Chirk. |
