| Comments: | Took off soon after arriving at LLangollen, soon picked up good lift. Stayed with the lift along with about 6 others. Gradually drifted, picked up another good climb over Chirk. Went on a glide to Oswestry, picked out a landing field but got another climb to base. Decided to head for Rodney's pillar which gave nothing! so landed at the foot of the hill. A few minutes later I was joined by Simon W. Got a short lift, walked back to the A483 at Four Crosses where we soon got a lift to Chirk. Thanks to Stuart LLoyd for a lift back to TO. The lift was from an army chap so we donated £10 to the 'Help for Heroes' |
