| Comments: | Took off, and was climbing out within 5 minutes. Graham was a couple of glider heights above, and Gnasher the same below. Graham and I got the climb, but Steve just missed it. A glider was climbing well in the vale, but I found nothing when I got there, and thought I would be bombing out not far beyond Denbeigh. Goos lift over the rising ground saved the day, but a bad choice of direction put me downwind of Arenig Fach, and that was game over for me. At least I landed near a road, rather than in trackless bog ! Good lift to Chirk, where Dave picked me up. Like the new glider, but wish my gloves were warmer. |
